101 on motivation and fighting depression

I am writing this blog entry after really a very long time. I know that I need to do a lot of catching up with the things happening in life. I must say that life has been good and I have been quite a bit unthankful for whatever I have. I found out that this is the tendency which is not uncommon.

Okay lets go straight to the point. What was the reason why I was not updating the blog? Actually nothing. Everything was normal in life and I did not see any reason to express my ideas and thoughts. Now why did I decide to update the blog? Just to share my thoughts and my feelings. But I will be upfront with certain qualifying statements. I will not be too candid as I need to preserve some privacy.

The reason I wanted to write this blog is because lately I was going through a phase in life where everything was so normal, stale and uneventful. Well certain events and developments were taking toll on my nerves. However these were more of everyday stuff and what I call as daily nuances. However the 'so-called' most disturbing fact recent developments was the fact I lost the spark and motivation to strive for something in life. However today when I poured out my heart to a friend of mine I was surprised to find out that it was nothing usual. He told me that he went through the same phase himself and faced a certain paradox but came out bravely from that. Although I did not find answer to my question the very fact that I came to know about the some case from a good friend of mine came as a big relief and I started feeling a lot lighter than before.... well that was not exactly a 101 on motivation and fighting depression. However what I learned was that it is better to share your feelings with someone you trust as just hearing the similar story from someone else will make you less miserable.

Trip to Abu Dhabi

I have been asked to speak at an event in Abu Dhabi and I came down here on the invitation of a company. While I have been I will take some photos and will upload them on to the site. Here is the first installment.

By the way it is really fun flying business class, especially when the finance minister is sitting just next to you and it is a very lovely feeling when you stay at a hotel at company's expense where per night rate is $500. Enjoy the photos.

Kids are already quite big

It has been quite a while since we visited arcade area of the shopping centre. This time round we went there, we found both the kids enjoying themselves on the fun rides. Here is the photo:

We were at Costa Coffee and my four year old son was playing my camera phone. While taking our photos, he said that I am going to take the photo of "birthday cake". For him every cake is a birthday cake and he pressed the key and this is what he shot. I must confess that his photographic skills are far better than mine!
